Service Advisor
Lube Bay Technician / Express Service Technician
We are searching for a lube bay technician / express service technician!
Position Summary
The Lube Bay Technician is responsible for performing fast, accurate, and safe routine maintenance services on customer vehicles in a one-person lube bay environment. This role requires the technician to independently manage vehicle flow, inspections, maintenance services, and customer vehicle care while maintaining dealership quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform oil and filter changes on a variety of vehicle makes and models
- Check and top off all fluid levels including coolant, brake fluid, windshield washer fluid, and transmission fluid
- Rotate and inspect tires
- Inspect brakes, belts, hoses, batteries, and wiper blades
- Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and document findings
- Maintain accurate repair orders and service records
- Safely operate lifts, jacks, air tools, and shop equipment
- Keep the lube bay clean, organized, and stocked
- Communicate maintenance recommendations to service advisors or management
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and according to dealership standards
- Follow all OSHA, environmental, and dealership safety procedures
- Manage workflow independently in a single-technician bay setup
Required Qualifications
- Previous automotive service experience preferred but not required
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, and work in a fast-paced shop environment
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with dealership service procedures
- Ability to use digital inspection tools and shop software
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions
- Indoor shop environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, oils, and moving vehicles
- Frequent standing, lifting, bending, and reaching
- May require weekend or extended-hour shifts

- Complete services within dealership time standards
- Maintain high-quality workmanship with minimal comebacks
- Follow all safety procedures consistently
